Male & Transgender Candidates 

(i) Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 3200 meters race to be completed within 14 minutes (840 seconds). ( 14 Minutes Excellent Time and 10 Minutes Qualified Time)

(ii) Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks). (11 Foot Qualified and 16.5 inch Excellent)

(iii) Chin Up : 20 Marks – ONLY FOR MALE CANDIDATES WHO APPLIY FOR CONSTABLE (AB) (04 Chin Ups Qualified 10 Marks and 14 Chin Ups Excellent 20 Marks)

Female Candidates :

(i) Race : Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 1600 metres race to be completed within 08 minutes . ( 5 Min 30 Sec Excellent Time and 8 Minutes Qualified Time)

(ii) Long Jump: Minimum 244 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks). (07 Foot 3 Inch Qualified and 12 foot 8 inch Excellent)

=Written Test :Written test will consist of 45 multiple choice type questions to be answered on an OMR answer sheet. For each correct answer the candidate will get one mark. Total marks for the Written Test will be 45. There will be no negative marking. The questions will cover the following subjects:

I. Elementary Arithmetic

 II. General English

 III. Logical reasoning/Mental ability 

IV. Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy

Selection Process 

The selection process shall consist of a Computer Based Test (CBT) wherein the qualifying marks will be minimum 40% marks for SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities and minimum 50% marks for others. 

Type of question: The Computer Based Test (CBT) will comprise of questions in the multiple-choice questions (MCQ) format. 

Language of question paper: The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be bilingual i.e. English & Assamese. 

Negative marking: There will be no negative marking in the Computer Based Test (CBT). 

Duration: The total duration of the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be 02 (two) hours. 

In the final merit list for selection, if Computer Based Test (CBT) marks of more than one candidate are same, then the candidate who obtains more marks in Part-C of the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be given preference. In case, if the marks in Part-C are same, then the candidate who obtains more marks in Part-B will be given preference. If the marks in Part-B are also same, then the candidate older in age will be given preference in the final merit list. 

Written Test Syllabus :

A – English Language & General Knowledge /Awareness and Questions on Oil India Limited. ((=20%=))

B – Reasoning, Arithmetic/Numerical & Mental Ability ((=20%=))

C – Domain or Relevant Technical Knowledge: Questions will be based on the qualification prescribed for the post and commensurate with the level of the post. ((=60%=))
